We have a great mix of young and newly graduated fellowship-trained and experienced faculty that is dedicated to residency training and clinical development. All applications are accepted through ERAS and filled through the match. The residency program is approved for 3 categorical positions per year. The program is clinically focused and fosters the development of general surgical skills as well as extensive consultative skills. In addition all residents are required to complete a salaried mandatory year of research between their PGY-2 and PGY-3 year. Surgical Residency The Department of Surgery offers an ACGME approved five year residency program in General surgery that fulfills the training requirement for certification by the American Board of Surgery.
